Video Series in Celebration of John Wesley's 300th Birthday

The General Commission on Archives and History and GNTV , a United Methodist media ministry affiliated with the Macon District of the South Georgia Annual Conference, have teamed up to produce a set of short videos that highlight John Wesley's life and ministry.  These videos are designed for use during annual conference sessions.  Churches with media ministries will also find them informative for their congregations! The videos are a perfect way to remind all United Methodists about the life, ministry, and lasting influence of Methodism's founder.

The video segments are engaging and informative.   Using images of Wesley and early Methodism from The United Methodist Archives, our production team has put together short segments that will help tell the story of Methodism.  The videos are visually rich, perfect for communicating important truths of the church in a format that will speak to people in a technology-driven society.  The narration, written by Charles Yrigon and the staff at the General Commission on Archives and History, conveys the essentials of understanding Wesley's life and theology.

Each video includes 11 video segments , lasting approximately one minute each.  Each of the eleven segments highlights a different aspect of Wesley's life and theology.  Videos are available in DVD or VHS format.

Annual Conferences throughout United Methodism will be using these video segments to remember the life of John Wesley.  The videos will help generate excitement among the delegates as we remember this evangelist, social prophet and visionary leader.
